- About us
Set against the blue sky, the Happiness Farm looks like a hidden paradise, quiet and peaceful. On November 1st, a sweet potato digging activity jointly organized by all Party branches was held here.
Autumn harvest is underway in the fields, and sweet potatoes smell the best! Upon arrival, experienced participants shared practical tips for digging sweet potatoes. This activity was not merely an experience of farm toil, but a chance to feel the joy of harvest firsthand.
We have all eaten sweet potatoes before, yet not everyone has dug them in the field. Tangled vines spread thickly over the fertile soil. It was sometimes hard to locate the roots. Even after cutting the vines, plenty of fibrous roots still required a strong pull. Right from the start, everyone got a taste of this pleasant surprise of farm work.
With joint efforts, we quickly cleared the vines. Spotting the half-hidden sweet potatoes, everyone was filled with excitement. We grabbed shovels, rakes and hoes to dig, while some family members stood by with baskets and wicker containers, waiting eagerly.
We cooperated well with simple gestures and eye contact, sharing the happiness of harvest. Those with no farming experience learned quickly, for curiosity is the best teacher. Experienced participants handled the work with ease, showing the skills rooted deep in their memory, as if returning to old days.
Sweat and muddy clothes were set aside. Everyone kept going energetically. Busy figures and bright smiles became the most beautiful scenery on the farm.
