- About us
September 4 marked the official start of the new semester for primary schools. Good‑Ark volunteers spontaneously launched the activity “Guard the School Crossing, Warm the Way to School” to ease traffic congestion around the campus and safeguard students on their journey to school.
Early in the morning, family members gathered punctually at the main factory gate and marched in orderly formation towards Dashan Primary School. The volunteers were divided into three groups as planned and took up their respective posts to carry out the service in good order.
The intersection not far from the school is a vital thoroughfare for residents from Huatong Zone 8 commuting to work and students heading for school. The volunteers guided vehicles to pass one after another without cutting in or rushing, carefully maintaining traffic safety.
At the school gate, the volunteers acted as safety promoters. When noticing parents riding without helmets or travelling against the traffic, they stepped forward gently to remind them, stressing the importance of traffic rules and patiently popularising the “One Helmet, One Belt” safety campaign. They helped instil safety awareness and civilized traffic habits into both parents and children, so that every child can come to school happily and return home safely.
They opened car doors for students, escorted them across the road and saw them safely into the school compound. With the volunteers’ help, parents felt much more at ease. Cars pulled over briefly and moved on quickly, keeping the traffic flowing smoothly. Over more than an hour of duty, all students entered the campus safely one after another.
In their spare moments, Good‑Ark volunteers turned into environmental guardians. They bent down to pick up litter around the school gate, always bearing in mind that environmental protection is everyone’s responsibility.
Time flew amid busy work, yet the volunteers felt no weariness. Their bright smiles radiated a strong sense of fulfilment. As the saying goes: “Roses given, fragrance in hand.” Grateful words from parents and students let everyone taste the joy of dedication.
