At noon on August 10, the 2023 Autumn Good‑Ark Table Tennis Friendly Match, jointly organised by the Gonghe, Pinde and Heyue Branches, kicked off at the Headquarters Happiness Canteen.

Upon its launch, the event received strong support from branch secretaries and all family members. Table tennis lovers across the company signed up enthusiastically, quickly forming a team of thirty contestants.

Chairman Wu and Director Zhang came to cheer on the players, encouraging them to bring out their best and show their spirit. The match aimed to strengthen friendship while keeping fit. Chairman Wu also prepared a surprise grand prize for the champion: a red envelope of 500 yuan.

Table tennis is a continuous test of skill, stamina and mental poise. Though usually low‑key off court, the players were highly spirited during the game. Penhold and shakehand styles shone equally; forehand and backhand strokes flowed naturally. Rallies of smashes and loops kept the competition intense. A powerful smash drew rounds of applause; a clever return caught opponents off guard.

Energetic and driven, the players delivered gripping point after point and chased every score closely. Cheers and shouts of encouragement echoed around the court. Everyone gave their all, earning warm applause with their effort and sweat.

There were three female contestants in the event. The male players showed great sportsmanship by voluntarily conceding three points at the start of their matches, fully embodying the spirit “friendship first, competition second”. This gesture won warm applause and high praise. Before the official matches, Chairman Wu and other leaders also joined in to experience the unique charm of table tennis.

The players’ perseverance touched every spectator, and their never‑give‑up competitive spirit commanded deep respect. The whole competition vividly displayed the positive, vigorous and earnest demeanour of Good‑Ark people.

After fierce competition, Sun Yanlong from Gongcheng Branch took the First Prize; Yan Yubo from Hexie Branch and Li Shun from Jianyue Branch won the Second Prize; Chen Xiangping from Chengxin Branch, Hua Fuming from Jianjie Branch and Wang Changdong from Qiande Branch claimed the Third Prize.

Striving for a healthy and fulfilling life and passing on joy and happiness. The successful autumn table tennis friendly match offered a stage for enthusiasts, boosted friendship and technical exchange among players, and made table tennis an enjoyable sport open and welcoming to all.
