In July, students enter their sun‑drenched summer vacation. Along with graduation and enrollment season, many used books will be set aside to be treasured as precious memories.

Recently, branches of the Main Factory organised a used‑book donation activity on the first floor of the Filial Piety Department under the theme “Pre-loved Treasures, Warmth in Book Fragrance”. It gives old books a new lease of life and lets knowledge be passed on to light up bright hopes.

Members of the branches responded actively. At home, they sorted out books together with their children to send warmth to youngsters in mountainous regions.

The summer is scorching, yet even warmer is the kindness of Good‑Ark family members. At the event, participants solemnly handed over well‑loved books they had read and cherished to volunteers.

These books had accompanied them for a long time. Though reluctant to part with them, they felt comforted knowing the books would reach children hungry for knowledge and deliver greater value. The whole scene was warm and touching.

One book after another piled steadily on the table. The donated collection covers a wide range: classic storybooks, picture books, science and art readers. In total, 207 books were collected — 51 for primary school students, 54 for junior high students and 102 general extracurricular reads.

Volunteers sorted and packed all donated books. Later, the charity vehicle from the Gongcheng Branch will carry this heavy load of love to Yangcheng Lake Town in Xiangcheng District, where local volunteers will forward the books to schools in mountain areas. One can easily imagine how delighted young book lovers will be when they receive them.

Pre-loved items are treasures, and book fragrance warms hearts. May these books nourish young souls far away. May every independent and rich spirit find a place to rest.
