2023-12-26  View:3051

As winter deepens and the year draws to a close, snow falls over the Jiangnan region. On December 18, the 7th cohort of the Good‑Ark Family Culture Learning Camp officially commenced. As the year‑end approaches, the Mission & Heritage Institute reaffirms its original aspiration: the camp not only helps Good‑Ark employees grasp the essence of Family Culture and learn how to integrate corporate culture into work and daily life, but also creates a learning space where every participant may commune with heaven and earth, ancient sages, and their inner selves.

We walk together because we believe. Every lesson and experiential activity within the camp is simple yet profound. Behind them lies the Mission & Heritage Institute’s continuous exploration and return to life education. We support the company and its staff to face the world squarely, to meet life’s setbacks and challenges, release mental limitations, trust in inherent completeness, dissolve ego‑attachment, discover one’s original nature, break through mental barriers, taste spiritual freedom, and be fully present in each moment.

First, cherish this learning opportunity; second, unite knowledge and action.

… Uphold the standards for happy employees and lay a solid foundation for the rest of life,

and contribute to the sustainable development of the company.”
— Address by Zhang Jian, Secretary of the Good‑Ark Party Branch

#1 Prioritise Diligent Learning

Daily Morning Reading: The Blessings of Humility

To forget history is to betray it. By studying and remembering history, we may better cherish the present and build the future. Secretary Zhang Jian shared The Road to Happiness at Good‑Ark, a living chronicle of the company’s growth and a shared treasure for every Good‑Ark member. By learning from the pioneering spirit of early Good‑Ark colleagues, participants elevate their moral character, deepen life wisdom, strengthen cultural confidence, and integrate more fully into the company’s development.

Wu Aiping, Manager of the Good‑Ark Family Culture Centre, shared the ten‑year spiritual journey of General Manager Teng Youxi in studying traditional culture. Her sharing encouraged everyone to learn diligently, reflect carefully, cultivate virtue and refine character. Under the nourishment of fine traditional Chinese culture, tremendous transformations have taken place within General Manager Teng, his family, and Good‑Ark staff in how they handle human relationships, life responsibilities, and harmony with nature. Every word and deed of those who study and practise the sages’ teachings shows how this culture shapes and nurtures the Chinese people.

#2 Propriety and Filial Piety Come First

Lecture by Teacher Miaozhong from the Mission & Heritage Institute

All misfortunes stem from lack of filial piety and disregard for propriety. Filial piety and ritual hold a central place within Family Culture. Through the two courses, The Beauty of Ritual and The Principles of Filial Piety, participants came to understand the wisdom and heritage behind ritual and filial piety, as well as their inner mindset and practical methods, laying deeper foundations of recognition and joy for future practice.

A treasure trove of art and spirit,

belonging to Good‑Ark and also to the world. Participants wandered through the exhibits,

listening reverently to the wisdom of ancient sages,

and revisiting with warmth the cultural bedrock of humanity: loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, righteousness and trustworthiness.

Teacher Gao Ping from the Mission & Heritage Institute

Ritual is the order of energy; filial piety guides us back to the Dao. Since ancient times, the Chinese nation has cherished the tradition of tracing one’s roots and honouring ancestors. Where bloodlines endure, life flows endlessly. Teacher Gao Ping led participants through stories of surnames and family heirlooms, helping them feel the bond of kinship and awaken filial conduct.

#3 Inner Reflection as the Path

Mr. Wu Nianbo has shared sage teachings many times at the United Nations,

earning high praise from former statesmen and heads of global institutions,

drawing thousands of visitors who come to learn from afar …

Teacher Gao Ping illustrated and presented The Social Value of Family Culture, showing participants how sage teachings touch lives across the globe, the warmth and power carried by Family Culture, and the pride and joy of being part of Good‑Ark. At the same time, everyone gained a clear sense of their responsibility to spread the sages’ wisdom.

I Am the Root of All Problems, Love Is the Answer to All Problems, Become the Master of Your Destiny. In these three courses, Teacher Miaozhong dissected the ideal path for personal growth and organisational development with meticulous clarity. We live amid rapid social change, flooded with new concepts, debates and conflicts: rat race, quiet quitting, regional wars, nuclear wastewater discharge, economic downturn and more. The greater the impact, the deeper our reflection. Through sincere inner inquiry, we may discover truths of the universe and life, understand the conflicts and anxieties experienced by individuals and the company at their source, calm our minds, improve ourselves, benefit others, and thereby adopt a more meaningful way of living and walk toward a happier life.

May each of us become love itself, so love surrounds everyone and spreads to every corner of the world. When self and all things become one, we recognise our true selves and the world, walk along the path toward happiness, and reach the bright realm of supreme goodness.
